I am still pumped that I made it to Europe! I have only been to two European countries (passing through Amsterdam doesn’t count.) And, I can’t wait to get to the UK. I have been to four provinces in Canada and in America — Washington DC and New York. Based on my limited exposure to and in both continents here’re my two cents on both.

  1. Architecture: I am in awe of European architecture. Everything seemed immaculate and elaborate. The intricate designs and details were stunning. I can see what the few parliamentary and government buildings in North America are going for. I have been to Washington DC and seen the monuments there, I must confess, Europe wins.
  2. Fashion: North Americans do not care as much about attire moreso in Canada. I noticed fashionable yet functional attire right from the airport. None of the sweats and jeans that North Americans are so heavily reliant on. I loved the spectrum of colour, material, combinations, and I was inspired.
  3. Physical Activity: There were people on bicycles everywhere. Don’t get me wrong, people bike in North America too. However, it seemed like we did more walking and biking than I would have at home. In Canada’s defence, it’s too cold to bike half the time.
  4. Things to do: there was so much to do and look at. We went to Austria and the mountains begged us…
