Well, the coronavirus is real and I have experienced it. I am a bit relieved, to be honest. Getting the virus seemed inevitable to me so I am glad I can move past worrying about it.

I didn’t know I had it. I thought it was something else. It got real when my husband got it. He occasionally has the flu or cold and bounces back after two days. To say the least, it was gut wrenching watching him puke his guts out. He’s still my super man but it felt terrible seeing him so sick.

How did we find out? We have rapid tests at home.

Symptoms? Well, they vary for different people. In our case, there was nausea, vomiting, muscle ache, headache, fatigue, coughing, and chills.

Remedies? Here’s what seemed to work for us. Although, it could be the placebo effect and the virus just ran its course.

Sleep: I’m pretty sure the best thing is to sleep as much as possible. We have a four-month-old so getting long stretches of sleep has been nonexistent. However, I have slept when he does and felt better each time.

Hydrate: I boiled ginger, mint, lemon, and honey together and we have been drinking that. We also drank ginger and camomile tea. Apart from water and tea, we’ve been sipping on some Gatorade.
