I must admit that I have felt the exact same way. At the onset of the pandemic, the noise around learning a new skill or starting a new business was imense. On a daily basis, videos are interrupted with ads by entrepreneurs that are making money in their sleep.

You may be working a 9am to 5pm job you dislike, like, love, or are indifferent about. You may be a doctor, lawyer, teacher, IT officer, marketing consultant, advisor, administrative officer, personal care worker, barrista etc. You may have gone to get a degree and now work in a job that does not stimulate you or meet your needs mentally, emotionally, or socially. You may enjoy your job some days and dislike it another day.

I think this is the case for most jobs. Now, I am an advocate for self-improvement and selflove. I am also an advocate for wisdom and self-realization. What do I mean? I would love to be on a beach and make money in my sleep but not year round. Lounging on a beach year round will get tiring and diminish in appeal after two weeks. The celebrities you see going sailing on a boat, vacationing on an island, and seeming to be living the life, do not spend the bulk of their time doing that. They work hard acting, making music…
