Thriving in 2021
I was particularly not motivated this past week. My lack of excitement and energy was hormonal and situational, which made me sensitive to the comparison between those working from home and essential workers. In my opinion, there is no comparison in my mind. Both sides of the coin are hard.
Since my experience has been working from home for almost a year now, my pointers are focused on the home work sphere.
I am grateful that I don’t have some of the additional disadvantages some have, like having to pretty much homeschool, not living in a desirable environment, or disasters like the recent occurrence in Texas.
Once again this year, alot is happening this year, but we can beat the odds and even thrive.
Here’s how I think we can thrive in 2021:
- Be in-tune with yourself: staying home and in isolation can be more damaging than you think. Pay attention to your spiritual, emotional, physical, and mental state. It’s easy to think that nothing matters and to stop caring about things that were once important to you. Make sure you are not loosing touch of the essence of who you are.
- Nurture relationships: at the begining of the pandemic, lots of individuals were hyped about the possibility of slowing life down and reaching out to people they hadn’t in a while. I think reaching out should…
